Because of its geographical position, Turkey has a high capacity TV traffic which makes the TV Broadcasting a major business for Turksat. The country’s TV capacity was hugely increased after Turksat satellites were put into service, plus, other countries in Europe and Central Asia may also benefit from this added extra capacity for their own usage.

Turksat also provides Mobile & Occasional TV Broadcast services for special events like ceremonies, sport activities, concerts, competitions, or for emergency situations whereby the transmission to a local TV studio may be live or tape recorded, and achieved through the use of mobile or flyaway satellite earth stations. As a secondary link, Turksat can also take advantage of underground fiber optic networks or other satellites in space using its own Satellite Earth Station facilities to link up to any other region of the globe, even as far away as the Atlantic Ocean.
