Turksat satellite fleet is composed of 2 satellites: Turksat 1C (42° E) and Turksat 2A (42° E). Turksat 1C and Turksat 2A satellites were brought into service in 1996 and 2001. Turksat provides satellite services to an area covering the whole of Europe, Turkey and Central Asia.

Towards the last quarter of 2007, Turksat 1C will have completed its mission and a new advanced satellite - Turksat 3A, will be put into service to meet the growing demands of customers around the globe, and also occupy the longitudinal 42° E orbital emptied by Turksat 1C.
