Türksat participated in the “Antalya Science Fair” organized by the Metropolitan Municipality of Antalya for the third time this year.

The Türksat Planetarium, set up as part of the fair that took place on 26 April, became the focus of attention for children. Many students benefited from the show where space was discussed.

At the opening ceremony, which started with ribbon cutting, Antalya’s Mayor Menderes Türel and Konyaaltı Mayor Muhittin Böcek, science enthusiasts and a large number of students were among the participants.

Mayor Türel said Antalya's children and youth are living during a lucky period of time in terms of sports, arts, culture and science. Türel said, “I hope scientists of the future, future Nobel winners like Aziz Sancar will be brought up here.”

Doors will remain open for three days.

At the fair, where interesting science stations in the field of life science, engineering, social sciences and basic sciences as well as project exhibitions were on display for the purpose of raising participants' awareness in the fields of science. Interesting stands displaying scientific and technological topics, robot exhibitions and workshops, exhibitions on biodiversity, dinosaur exhibits, interesting applications from various engineering fields (food, computer, electricity, construction, geology, etc.) basic sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) activities, social sciences, interactive educational materials were part of the fair.
