The Turkish National Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Association (TUFUAB) IX. Technical Symposium was held between 27-29 April 2017 and was hosted by Afyon Kocatepe University.
The symposium was attended by Afyon Kocatepe University’s Vice Rector, representatives from General Command of Cartography (HGK), General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (TKGM), senior officials the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA), academicians from about 20 universities, private sector representatives and university students.
During the symposium, approximately 80 academic workshops and institutional application presentations were carried out in a total of 13 technical sessions held simultaneously in 2 different salons. In addition, the private sector participants presented their presentations in two separate sessions reserved for company presentations. On behalf of Türksat, Abdullah Onur Mutlu made a presentation about Türksat Geographic Information Technologies Directorate's products and services.
Throughout the event Türksat participated in the exhibition, technical and scientific presentations were carried out in the areas of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems, HIA applications and 3D modeling.
