Türkiye Gains a Voice in Space with Domestic and National Satellite Power
With its six communication satellites, Türksat provides television broadcasting, data transmission, internet access, and voice services across its wide coverage area spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Alongside the Türksat 5A and 5B satellites, Türkiye’s independence in space has been significantly strengthened with Türksat 6A, the country’s first domestic and national communication satellite, launched into service this year. Over the past 21 years, Türksat has continued to increase its influence in the global satellite market with domestic and national satellite solutions. Offering Ka-Band high-speed internet access in locations without terrestrial infrastructure, Türksat ensures uninterrupted communication infrastructure for disaster areas, rural regions, and strategic locations, contributing to national security and the continuity of public services.
The Public’s Digital Transformation Partner in IT
Türksat established the infrastructure of Türkiye’s largest digital service platform, the e-Government Gateway, and continues to operate the system successfully and securely. Since 2008, the e-Government Gateway has enabled citizens to access public services from a single point, quickly and securely. Today, it provides nearly 8,600 services from more than 1,100 institutions to millions of users.
In addition, with turnkey projects, integration services, data center solutions, geographic information systems, satellite imaging services, and software development infrastructures, Türksat leads the digital transformation of the public sector. Cable Services to 5.5 Million Households
Since taking over the cable infrastructure in 2005, the company has expanded its digital broadcasting and fixed broadband internet services, reaching 5.5 million households with fiber optic infrastructure across 24 provinces. With its brands KabloTV, KabloNet, Kabloses, and Kablo Bulut, Türksat provides television, internet, telephone, and data storage services to both individual and corporate subscribers, delivering high-quality digital access to homes. With the launch of the TV Her Yerde application in 2024, Türksat has also made the broadcasting experience accessible anytime, anywhere.
Access to Every Corner of Türkiye: Universal Service
Within the framework of the protocol signed with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the Information and Communication Technologies Authority, Türksat fulfills its Universal Service obligation. In this scope, Türksat installs and operates voice and broadband internet services in villages and hamlets across Türkiye that lack 4.5G infrastructure. In this way, access to digital services becomes possible even in the most remote corners of the country.
