Facility Operations Director, Ahmet Özsoy and the Legal Consultancy Department’s personnel Ali Karsli, who gave their lives trying to resist the FETÖ terror organization’s coup attempts which took place at Türksat’s Gölbaşı Campus, were laid to rest.  

At Ahmet Özsoy’s funeral processions that took place in Bağlum Center Mosque, Prime Minister- Binali Yıldırım, Deputy Prime Minister- Numan Kurtulmuş, Minister of Development-  Lütfi Elvan, Minister of National Defense- Fikri Işık, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication- Ahmet Arslan, members of parliament, Türksat administrators and employees, along with many others were in attendance.

Prime Minister Yıldırım offered his condolences to Ahmet Özsoy’s wife-Yasemin Özsoy, his sons- Muhammet Tahsin and Abdullah Enes and also to his mother and father- Arife Özsoy and Tahsin Özsoy respectively.

After the funeral procession where thousands of people attended, Prime Minister Yıldırım spoke and went on to say:

“From this coffin where our dear friend Ahmet received his final blessing from you, in the past, during my time as minster, he was a precious friend of ours who started working during our time. He is not just one among the hundreds of friends who lost their lives during the wretched uprising. He along with his friends, have become democracy martyrs who paid the price with their lives for the sake of democracy, the independence of the Turkish Republic, the future, and for our generation’s future. May God have mercy on our martyr’s soul.”  

Ali Karslı Laid to Rest in Çorum

Türksat personnel, Alı Karslı, who lost his life during the coup attempt in Ankara, was laid to rest in his hometown of Çorum.

At the funeral procession, along with Ali Karsli’s close relatives and friends, Çorum’s Governor- Necmeddin Kılıç, Deputy Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication- Yüksel Coşkunyürek, former Minister of Defence- Vecdi Gönül, Çorum’s Gendarmerie Commander- Senior Colonel Ahmet Çelik, Çorum’s Mayor- Muzaffer Külcü, Provincial Police Chief- Murat Kolcu, Turksat’s CEO- Cenk Şen, Turkish Communication Labor Union’s President- Bayram Bozal, along with many other citizens were in attendance.
