Satellite

Organized for the 10th time this year, where our company is involved as bronzor sponspor, our General Manager Hasan Hüseyin Ertok, our Satellite Control Director Dr. Ümit Cezmi Yılmaz and our Satellite Programs Director M.Mehmet Nefes also participated in the "Recent Developments in International Aviation and Space Technologies (RAST)" conference, held at the National Defense University between 7-9 June 2023. Within the scope of the conference, the Rector of the National Defense University Prof. Dr. Erhan Afyoncu presented a plaque to Hasan Hüseyin Ertok, General Manager of Türksat, for his contributions. 

Scientific studies were presented by TÜRKSAT engineers at the sessions on the analysis of GNSS and control systems in aerospace vehicles, space weather, microgravity and plasma simulation, and orbital and asteroid mining approaches. In addition, information about our consultancy and training services was given to the visitors at the Türksat stand in the foyer area set up within the scope of the conference. 

The presentation of 6 scientific publications within the scope of the conference was made by Türksat experts.

  • Analysis of GDOP Based on GEO Satellite (Seda (Karadeniz) Kartal, Yasin Burak Kaya, Esra Özbağ, Yağnur Yılmaz, Fatma Nergiz, Tayfun Dar)
  • Conjunction Analysis and Avoidance Principles from Uncontrolled Space Objects Used at Turksat (Ümit Cezmi Yılmaz)

 

In addition to Turkey, 300 leading scientists in the field of space attended the conference this year from 30 countries, including the USA, Germany, South Africa and Japan with various scientific works. We would like to thank all the visitors who showed great interest in the conference sessions and the Türksat stand. The next RAST conference will be held in 2025
