HbbTV (Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV) is a new technology to combine internet and TV experience which includes new online services and interaction tools to viewers along with satellite multicast broadcasting. This will help to localize and categorize the viewers for more targeted advertisement revenues.
Viewers with HbbTV enabled receivers are able to access to Video on Demand (VoD), Catch-up, applications and more enriched information services for certain programs as well as to traditional teletext services. Broadcasters will also be able to provide viewers paid contents and provide additional advirtesement accordingly. Turksat HbbTV services are only available for HbbTV and internet enabled satellite receviers at Turksat coverages.
